6-day Over the Top Idaho to Montana

Since 1992, WCOA has provided a unique pack trip taking in both Idaho and Montana. This is a one-way trip where we start at our Paradise trailhead in Idaho and finish the trip at Tin cup trailhead on the Montana side - traveling a distance of over 50 miles by mule. On this pack trip you will have a chance to experience the entire Selway ecosystem from the Selway River's lower country to the great Bitterroot Divide. We will travel past many alpine lakes and have opportunities to day hike to several others.

There will be ample opportunity for fishing and literally hundreds of photo opportunities. The travel days are kept to 3-4 hours of riding per day allowing plenty of time for relaxing. This is a fantastic adventure for the whole family and is suited for all ages. With the exception of the last day, riding time is limited to 3 to 4 hours on relatively easy-going trails. This is traditionally a 6-day trip, but add-on days allow more layover time at certain camps and can make it even more relaxing.
