Selway Slam

The Selway Slam Hunt offers to the die hard wilderness hunter, the opportunity to challenge four of the most sought after trophy big game species in the Northwest United States (elk, mule deer, black bear and mountain lion). You will make two trips to the Selway, one in the springtime and one in the late fall. You will spend 20 days total in the backcountry with an actual 15-16 days of hunting.

New regulations allow for the use of hounds to run lions beginning November 1. This means that if the opportunity arises to pursue a mountain lion during the elk and deer portion of your hunt, we can run the hounds. This nearly doubles your already good odds of killing a lion on the slam hunt.

All Slam hunts (with the exception of the spring bear) will be conducted 1 hunter to 1 guide for each species. The odds of harvesting all species on this hunt are very good. This hunt is limited to 2 hunters per year, so book early.

Itinerary:
7 Day spring black bear hunt over bait, between May 1 and June 30
(7 day trip with 5 actual hunt days)

6 Day 1x1 trophy elk & deer from November 6 - 11
(6 actual hunt days)

8 Day 1x1 Mule deer and mountain lion w/hounds from November 12 - 19
(7 actual hunt days)
